Final Walk Through Meeting

The final walk through meeting should be a top priority for every couple. Typically, the final walk through is completed two to three weeks before the wedding. This is the time to flush out all details including the floor plan (layout of guest tables, cake/candy tables, guestbook, gift), seating arrangements, its a great time to play with linen samples and do floral mock-ups.
Come prepared with your list of concerns and/or questions. Who attends the final walk besides the couple - wedding planner, lighting, florist, caterer and venue manager? Discuss timing - what time will dinner be served, what time will the vendor arrives? Your wedding planner can easily guide you through your final walk through meeting. Happy Planning!

This is the same color scheme that they wanted for their reception to Villa Crespi. This time Marina wanted to add some Alstroemeria golden yellow which matched perfectly the wonderful stuccoes of this amazing venue on Lake Orta.

As usual our best wishes to this lovely couple for a wonderful and happy life together!

just because

For no other reason but to smile, a confession … I love GLEE. Probably because I was in choir since I was a child and all through jr and high school. Sue Sylvester has the best one-liners in the history of television shows. And on Season Two … when she decides to “marry herself”? Priceless. [...]

The"Grand Dame of Madison Avenue," The Roosevelt
Hotel

The Roosevelt has that old world charm that I just love about New York.
Its perfect for a small wedding of 100 or a American Royal Wedding in The Grand Ballroom.

One step through the doors and The Roosevelt Hotel's magnificent ambience transports guests back to the classic setting of New York City in the Roaring Twenties. Renowned as the "Grand Dame of Madison Avenue," the hotel opened in 1924 and has been meticulously restored to its original grandeur.

Guy Lombardo is a name that has always been synonymous with the rich history of The Roosevelt Hotel. Lombardo and his orchestra performed their first show at the Roosevelt Grill on October 3, 1929 and continued to play there for the next 30 years. It was at the Grill that he first broadcast what would become a famous New Years Eve tradition, playing of "Auld Lang Syne".

The Roosevelt has stood tall since the hotel first opened its doors on September 22, 1924, and over the last 85 years it has remained a true icon of the City of New York. The Roosevelt has welcomed guests from all around the world and has been part our countries rich history. From the roaring 20's and prohibition, World War II and the baby boomers, Woodstock to Music Videos, and Y2K to Smartphones. Through it all, The Roosevelt Hotel has remained a true New York City experience.

The Roosevelt Hotel has appeared in several major motion pictures, including The Boiler Room, Wall Street, Quiz Show, Presumed Innocent, Malcolm X, Monday Night Mayhem, The French Connection, Hanky Panky, Maid in Manhattan, The Hoax and 1408.

Unique Guest Book Options

The traditional signing of the guest book is a fabulous idea but the bride and groom tend to stash it away after the wedding day when it could become a valued keepsake!  A guest book is great way to keep well-wishes from family members and friends, advice from loved ones and a laugh or two remembering great times in the past and the best times to come.

One option many brides are loving is to use a video or photo booth on their wedding day.  Many companies offer a photo booth that will immediately print pictures out and have a scrapbook waiting near by so your guests can click, print, write a cute note or funny story and at the end of the night, you have a wedding scrapbook awaiting you.

Photo booth Guest Book

Companies like Orlando-based Imprint Cinema now offer video booths where guests can leave a filmed messages for the bride and groom to be edited into a special video the couple will receive after the wedding.  Not only is it sentimental value but it's also a blast for guests!

Another popular trend is the Wishing Tree!  Have custom tags made that your guests write their wishes on and hang on a tree like below.  This is a beautiful photo op and adorable to watch it fill up with love as the night goes on.  This is an easy and fun option for a DIY bride, too!

Wish-tree

If your wedding has a theme, incorporate that into the guest book.  If you are having a beach or destination wedding, have your guests write on white sea shells and put them in a bowl of sand.  Or have a map of the city you are in and have your guests sign right on the map!

Wed_book_Erin_Map

Having an outdoor wedding or a rustic theme wedding? This is the most inexpensive guest book around! Using a thinly cut piece of tree trunk, either paint it white or leave au natural.  Then have your guests sign it!  Have a couple of these so that guests have plenty of room and later you hang them as funky wall art or paint a clear sealer over them and make them into a outdoor bench!

Wood_Slice

Incorporate something special to you and your fiance into your "guest book".  If your love is wine or maybe your wedding is located at a winery...have your guests sign a couple of bottles of wine,  These will be a cherished wedding day memory that lasts in your kitchen for years to come.

If the bride or groom are musicians or simply music lovers, have guests sign a guitar to be displayed in their home as a piece of art!

Lastly, this idea is inspired by the Sex and The City movie! Use a book of Love Poems (like Carrie's "Love Letters of Great Men") as your guest book.  Guests can find their favorite poem or writer in the book and sign next to it.  They can underline certain phrases or write next to a great quote.  Put this book on your coffee table after the wedding.  It'll work as a great conversation piece as well!
