The Cheap Bastardette's guide to self-catering
your wedding

Our plan: rather than pay $15 per head for upwards of 160 guests (is it just me, or is the guest count never where I left it?) we?re stretching our $5,000 budget as far as we can by offering a variety of snacky things. Here?s how we?ll pull it off.

STYLE: Luisa Beccaria

If you're a dedicated LWB reader, you probably know by now how much I adore Italian designer, Luisa Beccaria. A visit to this store, always puts a smile on my face. So it's time again, for some window shopping and head over to her shop which is located in Brera neighborhood here in Milan. It's like dropping a kid in a candy store. Mirrored rooms, lit by chandeliers, filled with GORGEOUS colorful, gowns and ready to wear. There's even a area completely dedicated to wedding gowns, that reside behind glass armoire's. You won't find any of the wedding dresses on her site, the only way to see these divine creations, is to visit the store.  Which by the way, is a must if you're ever in Milano, that is, if you're into romantic, decadent gowns and such.
I'm in love with this grey satin number from her Winter 2011 collection. Wouldn't it be perfect for a winter bride?
