Add to myYahoo! The MIT Chapel at MIT is a non-denominational chapel designed by noted architect Eero Saarinen. The photos of the couple by Lisa Rigby are stunning. A full length metal structure sparkles from the circular skylight down to a small, unadorned marble altar. The structure creates the effect of rain falling behind the couple.

Add to myYahoo! It's that time of year again ready to get out and put your best face forward. Holiday season is fast approaching us and I know I want to look my absolute best If you are thinking that you are all thumbs and can't do your own hair and make-up think again. First pick a few inspiring photos from a favorite fashion house magazine. I like Elle, Glamour and Marie Claire. Then gather up the essentials like Velcro rollers, a big round brush, some hair spray and smoothing serum. I prefer Paul Mitchell's Skinny because it works best for thick hair. Practice makes perfect. Take large sections and spray with light hold spray then wrap around the rollers and secure with a bobby pin if necessary. While the hair is setting try experimenting with some make-up that you might not normally use. Purple is definitely in the spotlight this season and you'll find it goes with everything. I like Urban Decay for fun flirty colors. Don't worry if you think it's too bold. Night time lighting needs colors that pop too be noticed.Finish the look with some false lashes. Loosen the rollers shake out your hair, apply some serum to fly aways and you will be ready for the party.Don't forget the finishing touches like polished nails. my favorite color this season is Chinchilly by Essie. It's amazing Happy Holiday's everyone.

Are you bored with the idea of average NYC wedding venues?
And looking at too many New York wedding venues that all look the same.
There are so, so many wedding venues in NYC.
Here is a guide to wedding locations in NYC are my top 10 New York City wedding venues
Angel Oresanz Center
172 Norfolk St
New York, NY 10002, US
This 1849 synagogue, modeled after the Cathedral of Cologne, has a gothic style with an amazing gold-leaf altar. It once was the studio of Spanish sculptor Angel Orensanz, but now hosts arts events, performances, and private events. It is perhaps best well known as the site of the 1997 wedding of Sarah Jessica Parker and Matthew Broderick
The Bronx Zoo
The Wildlife Conservation Society
2300 Southern Blvd
Bronx, NY 10460
Yes your guests can talk to the animals during the cocktail party,
Bateaux New York
A all-glass french river boat she offers a distinctive yachting experience offering stunning NYC skyline views.
The Central Park Boathouse
E 72nd St & Park Ave
New York, NY 10021, US
Perhaps the most quintessentially New York spot to get married is Central Park, and where better in Central Park to get married than a terrace or windowed room overlooking the lake.
New York Aquarium
Surf Avenue and W 8th Street (W. 8th St)
Brooklyn, NY 11224
Make a big splash with your guests at this sparkling underwater world.
The Prince George Ballroom
15 E 27th St
New York, NY 10016, US
Although the Prince George was built as a luxury hotel in 1904, The grand Beaux-Arts ballroom was lovingly restored and is now part of the Madison Square North Historic District and the National Register of Historic Places. The golden columns, intricate plasterwork, and soaring ceilings create a space that is simultaneously ornate and light and airy. Best of all, your site-rental fee helps support Common Ground's social service programs.
.
The United Nations Dining Room and Rooftop Patio
E 46th St & 1st Ave
New York, NY 10017, US
The Delegates' Dining Room at the United Nations Who would have thought that your wedding reception could be held at the United Nations? Surrounded by floor-to-ceiling windows that overlook the East River and NYC's skyline, the main event space - the Delegates Dining Room - is large enough for a grand wedding reception. But my favorite part of this space is the outdoor patio, which has breathtaking views of the city and the Queensboro Bridge. It will be Back open in 2012
The Brooklyn Botanic Garden
1000 Washington Ave
New York, NY 11225, US
The first time I ever visited the Brooklyn Botanic Garden, a wedding was happening amongst the lush flowers of the rose garden.
Gotham Hall
1356 Broadway
New York, NY 10018, US
The former headquarters of the Greenwich Savings Bank, Gotham Hall boasts a magnificent Art Deco ballroom with a seven-story-tall grand vaulted dome. Sweeping sheer curtains can make the space more intimate without blocking the hall's amazing architecture of Corinthian columns and marble floors.
The New York Academy of Sciences
7 World Trade Center
250 Greenwich Street, 40th floor
New York, NY 10007-2157
212.298.8600
With panoramic views from 40 floors above street-level, it will awe the most jaded New Yorker !
