Congratulations California!

Clearly, I don't prefer to get my news from traditional, and therefore more reputable sources, and surely I would know the answer to my following question were I to take advantage of all that our democracy has to offer by way of the free press, but it seems like the cool thing about this is the fact that it is M-A-R-R-I-A-G-E, not a civil union or domestic partnership or even a dingmoonment, but a marriage, like Massachsetts, but unlike Vermont. Right? Imagine that. Just a marriage. So simple. So classic.

That's OK. I'm only a little jealous. I like my little cut-rate, make-shift, legally arguable dingmoonment.

Lucy and Amir - Robinson Ranch CC

Last weekend we photographed the very intimate wedding of Lucy and Amir at the Robinson Ranch CC in Santa Clarita. It was a small wedding with only family and some special friends attending. It was so cool to see Amir go around to each table at the reception with a microphone and introduce every family member and friend. Here are a couple of images from their very special day.

Real Wedding: Jason + Kate

We love modern details on sweet southern backdrops. {Blue Nalu} shot these great details from Jason and Kate's recent NC fete.  From Blue Nalu: "We spent this weekend in New Bern, NC capturing Jason and Kate’s wedding. We found out New Bern’s claim to fame is that Pepsi was invented here in 1898 (actually on the street corner next to where Jason and Kate tied the knot.) We had great weather on Saturday for their wedding and Friday for their {e-session}. Their reception took place waterfront at the New Bern Golf and Country Club where the band “Sugar” got everyone rockin’. One of the best wedding bands we have heard in a while… check them out {HERE}. While they were helping light guest’s sparklers, one of the bus boys lit his hair on fire, so that was cool. ; ) The night was capped off with fireworks as Jason and Kate were given a grand send off. Hope you guys have a great time in French Polynesia- sounds like a blast!"  We will be sure to get more details when the newlyweds return.  Congratulations!

bluenalu111bluenalu2Isn't Kate's dress just perfect?  Kate, you have to fill us in on where you found your stunning dress when you return from that amazing honeymoon of yours!032.jpg081.jpgbluenalu3bluenalu4
