Add to myYahoo!Happy Summer everyone! We need to start blogging again since the super busy summer has kept us away from our blog…And boy do we have lots to share!!! So we’ll begin with the lovely wedding of Kathy & Jake, who were married this past May at the Paramount Conference and Event Venue, in Woodbridge, Ontario. It was a bit of a rainy day, but that didn’t stop Kathy from shining! She looked radiant and her bridesmaids looked amazing as well in their springy lavender purple dresses. The bouquets consisted of light pink peonies for the bridesmaids and the bride bouquet had light pink peonies and white ruffly lisianthus with a black ribbon and vintage inspired brooch on the handle.
The venue was all dolled up with lush centrepieces done with ivory hydrangea, white gerbera daisies with black centres and white dendrobium orchids and curly willow for height…Love the pin lighting!
They took some fun pics at the ever popular indoor location, Fantasy Fair at the Woodbine Centre. The pics were taken by Lee Weston Photography, and there are more pics to see of this gorgeous wedding on her blog, so be sure to stop by and check them out! The fabulous Melissa Samborski from One Fine Day Event Planning and Design made sure the bride and groom enjoyed their special day!

Add to myYahoo! If you’re out junkin’ and you happen to find some antique oil lamps, you might want to consider picking them up. They make for excellent vintage wedding centerpieces. They look especially awesome grouped together. You can find oil for the lamps at hardware stores. Photos: Karin Lidbeck

I stumbled upon these black + yellow 'Bride & Groom' chalkboard signs on Style Me Pretty this morning, and wanted to share with our Pittsburgh brides. These signs are super simple to make, and would be a great addition to a black + yellow color palette.
Tip :: Get creative with your frames, and don't fret if you can't find a chalkboard small enough to frame...use chalkboard paint on virtually any surface (even glass!) for an instant chalkboard!
