Spring Time Inspiration Board!

WIth the weather heating up here in Florida it's only appropriate to have a spring/summer inspiration board! I thought it would be a fun twist to do something a little outside the ordinary so I spun the inspiration in the direction of what we all love to eat during the warm weather... fruit! For those of you having a wedding during this time of year, it's a great alternative to flowers for centerpieces, a cute touch to invites and delish as a menu accent as well. Fruit has great texture and color that's great for decor. You can even include the "theme" in the bridesmaids dresses like the one below and by doing a peach-colored bridal gown. Super cute and super unique!

Saint Luke's Luke's School fund raiser was a huge success last night. The Invitation asked the parents to come and "Get Tropical"

The silent auction on white paper with pink envelopes and gerber's inspired many competitive bids.

Benchmark created a menu that was by tropically inspired. My favorite was the pineapple upside down cake served at the end of the evening.

Katie Hollins special events team at Diane von Furstenberg was gracious, courteous and so accommodating.

I had such a great time designing this event for such a wonderful team of parents and educators.

Lavanila The Healthy Deodorant

I never would've guessed that there would come a day when I would spend $18 on deodorant, but I did. The Healthy Deodorant a natural formula that integrates Lavanila's signature scents. Essentially, my pits smell like fresh baked vanilla cupcakes, better than the alternative I suppose and a sweet departure from whatever 'April Fresh' is.

Understand right off the bat that natural formulas are deodorants only, not antiperspirants. You may sweat at first until your pores become used to being un-clogged though I've heard from people that they didn't sweat at all when jumping into this formula.

I probably have as many deodorant sticks lingering in my bathroom as I do mascaras, I'm always looking for a great one and I think this one is worth checking out. Yes, $18 is steep for a deodorant (also keep in mind Sephora's forgiving return policy), but if it works it's worth it. I can guarantee you don't smell like cake at yoga, but I do. That alone is enough for me.
