Add to myYahoo! This business has paid a fee to be listed on Offbeat Bride because they feel their products and services are in-line with our philosophies and needs … and we agree. Here’s more info about how advertising works on Offbeat Bride.Perhaps you're familiar with the concept of an alt-registry, where you can register for experiences instead of store stuff. But we're here to tell you how Starlight Registry does it a little different.

Add to myYahoo!TGIF!! Happy Inspiration Friday! Are you ready to go back in time?
This inspiration Friday is brought to you by my wonderful friend Dawn who gave me the idea to do a Renaissance inspired wedding. Thank you Chicago for having a renaissance fair to inspire the great idea!
When considering doing a wedding of a past era I suggest going 50/50 direct vs. implied inspiration. For example have a couture gown with renaissance inspiration and then use a cake toper that depicts a direct image of the renaissance period! This will give creative new ideas for your wedding while keeping the renaissance theme intact. Also incorporating new items into your wedding theme will give it a unique feel that your guests will enjoy!

Talk about a New York "power couple!" Gina and Matthew pulled out all the stops for their tres-NYC engagement session, hitting all their local haunts, from Wall Street to Central Park, and every landmark in between... They even custom-styled their outfits to match each locale! {We just love the above photo}.
As stylists, we're super impressed by Gina and Matthew's fun fashion, {and their massive amounts of energy}! We hope you enjoy these great shots from Sherri Barber Photography.

Tell us, where are your favorite NYC places for engagement photos? Which New York landmarks mean something special to you?
xx,

Add to myYahoo! On the menu this week for dinner was Bourbon Chicken. This dish has become a staple one in our home because it's so delicious and after you've made it a few times, it's easy to whip up. We hadn't had it in a while and our taste buds started to give us a hint that Bourbon Chicken needed to make its way back into my menu planning.
If you'd like to give this recipe a try, here's what you'll need:
2 lbs boneless chicken breasts, cut into bite-size pieces
? 1 -2 tablespoon olive oil
? 1 garlic clove, crushed
? 1/4 teaspoon ginger
? 3/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
? 1/4 cup apple juice
? 1/3 cup light brown sugar
? 2 tablespoons ketchup
? 1 tablespoon cider vinegar
? 1/2 cup water
? 1/3 cup soy sauce
I usually double the above ingredients because Dele likes extra sauce.
DIRECTIONS
Prep Time: 15 mins
Total Time: 35 mins
1.) Heat oil in a large skillet.
2.) Add chicken pieces and cook until lightly browned.
3.) Remove chicken.
4.) Add remaining ingredients, heating over medium heat until well mixed and dissolved.
5.) Add chicken and bring to a hard boil.
6.) Reduce heat and simmer for 20 minutes.
7.) Serve over hot rice {we used brown instead of white or fried rice}
8.) ENJOY!
