So many people are wanting to diminish their eco-footprint these days and your wedding day does not have to be an exception! There are easy ways to help save the environment while celebrating your big day. Options are limitless but I've narrowed down the search to a couple fabulous ones that really could work for any bride.

Not engaged just yet? Well make sure you whisper in your soon-to-be-fiancé's ear about an eco-friendly engagement ring! There are tons of amazing jewelers out there that use recycled precious metals and stones in their designs. Leber Jeweler is a husband and wife team designed and produced out of Chicago that designs an "Earthwise Collection" that uses 18k gold and platinum from reclaimed sources and fair trade colored gems. GreenKarat is another speciality option. Their site doesn't just have engagement rings but has accessories, wedding bands and even an Eco-Blog for more ideas!

This design is by Leber Jewelery Inc. Who knew something this beautiful would also be a good for the earth?

The most obvious change to make in your wedding day to "go green," is the invitations. But who wants to skimp on the beauty of a formal invite? You don't have to. Many invitation designers will design a custom invite for you so that you actually send it via e-mail instead of having it printed. They can do the design in a PDF or HTML format so that any guest can read it from their computer. It can even have a front and a back, RSVP card, the whole kit and kaboodle!

I found a site called GreenVelope that is an extremely easy, template website. You just plug in your information and for a small fee, send your invites! You can even track and manage them on the same site. The best part is that with each purchase, a portion of the proceeds go to a non-profit organization of your choice!

A little change can go a long way...

Minimize driving by keeping your ceremony and reception locations close to one another
Donate leftover food and flowers instead of throwing them away
Choose locally grown flowers that are in season and organic. Check out your local farmer's market for tons of great options!
Find locally made wedding favors like potted plants, honey, or herbs

Before you know it, your wedding will ecological and economical!

Just Married! Siobhan & Stuart

Today we’ve officially opened the wedding season on Villa Bossi in Orta. We show you here the very first images of the event a real scoop!
Siobhan and Stuart were the first couple to get married in Orta. The both come from Scotland as you can also see from groom’s special suit!

A wonderful day in Orta with a mild temperature, almost like summer, pretty unusual for this period considering that Spring has just arrived!
This was the perfect frame for Siobhan and Stuart’s wedding!
As tradition wants Siobhan arrived to Villa Bossi by a rowing boat with her father. The civil ceremony had also a special touch with a wonderful blessing conducted by our celebrants Diane and Giuseppe.
After a pretty walk in the medieval village of Orta bride and groom had a wonderful aperitif in the gardens of Villa Gippini part of San Rocco Hotel, where Siobhan and Stuart also had a delicious dinner with all their guests.
