Today's Real Wedding comes to us from the amazing Canadian wedding planner Madeline's Weddings and Events and was photographed by Curtis Moore Photography. Michelle and Chris booked Madeline for a full service planning and decor package. Madeline says "the flowers, the decor, the music, the cake, cupcakes and candy buffet were just some of the details we adored working on". Madeline's Weddings and Events also worked on finer details that included the stationery, the ceremony design and the signature drinks. According to Madeline, "the bride wanted her reception to be spectacular" and as these photos show... it was nothing short of spectacular. Just wait until you see the last photo montage of the candy and cookie buffet, so yummy and such lovely displays.

What a gorgeous wedding from Madeline's Weddings and Events with beautiful photos from Curtis Moore Photography. Congratulations Michelle and Curtis and thank you Madeline and Curtis for sharing the wedding with my readers today. Add to myYahoo!French macarons come in heaps of colors and flavors. These delightful, delectable sweets are a brilliant addition to your wedding as a favor, on a dessert buffet, or on a plate of cookies on each table during dancing. My favorite is definitely the chic macaron cocktail from Laduree Bar!

Add to myYahoo!I've been a fan of photographer Carl Zoch for sometime now. When I saw this beautiful farm wedding on his site the other day, I knew it would be perfect to share with you guys. The wedding took place at the bride's grandparents farm in Fairview, Oklahoma - what a great location! I love the ceremony setup and the reception in the barn. Brit's dress is beautiful and love the color palette - especially her bouquet - gorgeous! Thanks so much Carl for letting me share this super sweet wedding today. Congrats to Brit + Daniel - your wedding looks like a perfect day!

How adorable are her shoes?! Love them.

I think this is my favorite portrait (below) - although it's hard to choose, Carl has an amazing eye for composition!

Check out the stylish wedding party!

Check out more from the wedding on Carl's Blog.

Add to myYahoo!Today's Epic Rerun from Fred Egan (second shot by Mammoth Man, Kyle Barnes) has to be one of my favorite features ever. Evana and Chinedu are gorgeous and the wedding is a perfect blend of Nigerian style and Southern charm. We loved this wedding so much, we also featured it in our first print edition!

This wedding from Fred Egan completely knocked our socks off! The beautiful Evana + Chinedu are the epitome of high-style. Take a look at Fred's blog to see some of these incredible details up close. I'm one of those creative type-A personalities that awakes with an idea at 4 am and stirs for hours just thinking about the details. For example, last night I found myself in deep thought about the below Vargas Girl print. It's been hanging in my powder room for months, but suddenly I was intrigued by the playfulness of her coquette-like pink corset and black satin bow. Before long it inspired this "feminine meets film noir" inspiration board of soft blush and bold black for the retro-glamorous bride.
It's funny because I often tell brides who are struggling with their wedding style or colors to buy a pocket journal and jot down things that inspire them throughout the day. Most times their personal style is hiding all around them in the things they've collected, purchased or surrounded themselves with. Well, if this isn't testament to my own words, I'm not sure what is. Hope you enjoy!

Add to myYahoo!Today I got to shoot 2 beautiful girls with a fantastic photographer, David Gaston of Gaston Photography.
Here's part 1 and how to get the look;
Since Carla has the luxury of having basically perfect skin *sigh* I didn't want to take too much away from that. I used my latest professional makeup obsession, Graftobian Hi Def Glamour Creme Palette, pressing the color into her skin with a dampened sponge so it covered any discolorations while still allowing her skin to show through. I'll have a full review of that line here in a few weeks, trust me- you'll love it.
I really wanted something to bring out her hazel eyes, so I chose the one and only Bobbi Brown eye shadow I carry in my kit at all times; Forest. This metallic deep olive is the perfect cure for a brown shadow rut because it looks fantastic on everyone, but gives that depth you can't create with neutrals alone.
Adding a flash of gloss to your lids is gorgeous for photos, but not much else. If you're looking to duplicate, use Aquaphor or Vaseline pressed into your lids over the top of shadows. The clock starts to tick immediately once you apply, and then the creasing begins and the color starts to deteriorate so act fast.
Coral cheeks and lips are unexpectedly chic and a nice departure from the ho hum nudes that would usually accompany a look like this one. Smashbox's Reign Fusion Blush in Regal is probably my favorite peachy blush to date, a precise blend of shimmer and matte in a delicate peach that suits all skins.
Enjoy a few more snaps, part 2 tomorrow.

Stumble It!

Add to myYahoo!My man is a yard sale snob. I was never much into buying other people’s “junk”, until I met him and discovered the practically unused treasures that people were almost GIVING away. Now we go yard saling (sailing?) all the time. In fact, it has become one of our favorite things to do together. He’s Southern. Very [...]
