Meet New York Times bestselling author and mother Susan and her writer daughter Elizabeth. They co-wrote How I Planned Your Wedding, The All-True Story of a Mother and Daughter Surviving the Happiest Day of Their Lives. Your show host Holli Ehrlich LOVED this heart warming book and hopes that every mother daughter (and son) tunes in to today's episode of Here Come the Moms to hear their valuable wisdom and voice of reason.
Elizabeth starts the book with, "I was born to be a bride." Susan says, "Does anybody actually dream about being the MOTHER of the bride?" They are extraordinarily close and relive fond memories about their journey including how they handle their differences with mutual respect and love. They talk about Dave, Elizabeth's husband, and the importance of working on your wedding as a couple. A big white dress is a big white dress, bridesmaids and friendship, investing in a wedding planner, photographer and videographer, how to treat each other and being grateful is all part of this podcast.
Susan and Elizabeth share their feelings, values, apprehension and excitement. They share their reality and common sense of wedding planning. Most of the experience is universal. Ultimately you want to feel respected, listened to and accepting of your plans and this mother daughter duo deliver great ideas, decisions and lessons learned.

Add to myYahoo!Wedding Soiree created an ultra glam tablescape for 944 Bridal magazine. We decided to switch things up and replace the paper place cards with a two -for-one unique statement piece by combining slate placecards (Vance Kitira) with theses adorable Giraffe & Elephant sculpture guest favors by (Z Gallerie). Placecards can be creative, whimsical and serve multiple purposes. Never be afraid to think outside the box when designing decor your dream day.

Add to myYahoo! After winter and Lent time on Sacro Monte in Orta begun the wedding season too! We will have here many events for all the summer up to October.
The very first couple this year to have their wedding on Sacro Monte of Orta is Gaia and Massimo who got married here the late afternoon, just above Lake Orta.
Bride arrived on a legendary Rolls Royce Silver Shadow of 1957.
Her bouquet was really unique made up with Dendrobium Orchids, Hydrangeas, Bowardias and blue Cornflowers.
The church was really full of white peonies, Dendrobium orchids and blue hydrangeas just a dream!
Gaia and Massimo’s big day was celebrated with a lovely party to Villa Crespi.
A lovely aperitif in the garden and a delicious 2 Michelin stars dinner in the the amazing rooms of this very famous venue on Lake Orta.
We will come back soon talking about Gaia and Massimo’s wedding as soon as the official photos of the event will be available.
All the Team whishes lot of happiness and joy to this newly weds: Gaia and Massimo!

Add to myYahoo! This week I interviewed an American veil designer, Jules Smerecky. Her work is stunning and the good news is she ships internationally! So, all my Canadian and British followers (plus those in Thailand, Australia, India and beyond!) are in luck.
Jules contact information will be at the bottom of this interview. Enjoy!

Please share with us any hints and tips you might have for a future bride?

Add to myYahoo! On yourself it's called putting on makeup, on kids it's called face painting although I've seen makeup on grown women whose over-usage would qualify them for the latter title. Easter-eve this year was spent drawing on their requested bunny and batman faces for my niece and nephew. I'm Batman
Cute as a bunny
It's the best use of my makeup and it's so easy. Just Google around for ideas and go for it. Don't worry, these customers are (almost) always happy.
