One of my absolute favorite things in this world is meeting new brides. I love hearing about their wedding vision. I'm truly curious about how their planning process is going. And of course, as a bridal fashion stylist, I adore learning about their personal style and how it might weave it into their day.
Fortunately, I get to talk about all these things for a living. And even more fortunately, I was able to talk about them all day long while exhibiting Merci New York's styling services at The Wedding Party Event.
We've been buzzing about The Wedding Party for weeks on Merci, and for good reason... The annual event is truly one of the best in bridal. Hosted by our friends at Martha Stewart Weddings and The Wedding Library, it brings out the most stylish vendors in New York City and beyond, so you can image how thrilled I was to participate in such a stellar event - First as Style Editor for the hosts, and second, as owner of our namesake bridal fashion styling company!
Our Merci New York booth was designed as almost a dressing room or boudoir for the bride. I wanted a chic little nook to share the beautiful stylist-endorsed accessories we promote in our Style Shop, but also a cozy little enclave to chat about a myriad of fashion styling services offered through Merci New York. {From day-of bridal styling, to wedding dress shopping, accessories styling and engagement shoot production - we certainly have the stylish NYC bride covered}!
The beautiful flowers that graced our table were designed by Blade Floral and Event Design. Owner Anne Kilcullen has a beautiful eye, and picked the most stunning blooms to compliment the accessories we carry, and also coordinate back to our soft palette. Not only do we want to suggest gowns, accessories and jewelry that look absolutely fabulous on our clients, we want to make sure they are created with great care and detail, and wearable for generations to come... {Because let's be honest, if your wedding day wardrobe cannot be an heirloom, what can}?
Because of this, we style from a tight group of designers for our brides, {such as Enchanted Atelier, Jannie Baltzer, Madame Mathilde, Preston & Olivia, Untamed Petals and more}... All of these trusted lines are shown above and available through private client consultations or for online sale on The Merci New York Style Shop on Newlywish.Well it wouldn't be an event recap without photos of the Merci New York team "in the trenches", right? On top, there's little old me posing with our pretty little booth and a gorgeous Reem Acra gown on loan from Gabriella Bridal Salon. In the middle, Merci New York team members pre-show. And on the bottom, that's little old me again, chatting about all things bridal style and fashion with the lovely brides who swung by our booth! {Many, many thanks to all of you for coming, and especially to the awesome blog readers who came by as well}!Now for some goodies...
