Under The Weather

This is my life story right now:I've been trying to kick a terrible cold that I've had for 12 days. Just when I thought I was getting over it, it came back full force last Friday. And it brought a horrible sinus infection with it. I finally broke down and went to the Dr. to get some antibiotics early this week. Hopefully that will do the trick of knocking it out of my system for good.
Just yesterday Ilah started having a runny nose and is beginning to cough and sneeze a bit - and yesterday, Dele had a root canal....so we're all pretty pitiful over here right now. And we're all low on sleep.
A sweet friend of mine sent me a text message yesterday afternoon saying that she was bringing over chicken and rice soup for me. How thoughtful!!


I had never had chicken & rice soup before and it was DEE-LISH!!! So, so good!!!

The soup in itself was enough but she also brought over a big tub of fruit....

And plastic bowls, cups, napkins and spoons {so that I wouldn't have to do dishes}...and Italian soda....

AND fruit bars for dessert!...Her kindness really touched me and it meant a lot to me that she would put her days agenda on hold to make my family a meal and drop it off at our home. What a GREAT friend.
It's a good thing that I bought Kleenex when it was on sale a few weeks ago because I've already gone through two boxes. I think I've just about blown my nose off.On a totally unrelated note: The walls within my house are officially showing that we have a 2 year old living here.
