Four great Portland photographers!

There are so many great Portland photographers that I really hate to pick faves.  However, after my event The Photo Playdate, where we brought together event planners and their families for a day of pampering and photo taking, after I saw the results, I just have to give a shout out to those who participated: Impression Arts, Jasmine Photography, Evrim Icoz, and Valls Photographic.  Just take a look at some of the shots:

This is my fabulous assistant Samantha Michael.  If you are a venue manager or a vendor, it's very likely you will get a call from Samantha when we are in vendor search mode, pairing up our clients with everything from the perfect reception spot to the most relaxing spa.  I love the way Evrim has captured her super-friendly personality!

And how about this photo of the Barss family?  Molli Barss of Soiree Event Planning is also one of my favorite Portland wedding planners and a dear friend.  She just threw a huge bash for the Oregon ABC last night at The Nines hotel that I am still recovering from!  She's married to David Barss, a wedding photographer, and they have two young children, so you can imagine--when do they have time to get family photos taken that David will actually be in? I also have to give immense props to the additional sponsors and supporters who provided the pampering element: Event Cosmetics, who made us all look fab; Ashiyu Foot Spas, who provided a Japanese foot spa so we could kick back and relax between shoots; and Creative Childcare Solutions, who provided the child play area so the little ones could feel right at home.  Psst to brides and grooms: these services are great for your wedding as well!

I was so happy to have been able to create this event to give back to the wonderful event planners in Portland and give them a day for themselves.  Can't wait to do it again next year!
